Volunteer your skills

Being a trustee of a local voluntary organisation is very rewarding.  With a few exceptions, anyone aged over 18 can be one.

Trustees are responsible for the running of a charity, its finances, property, employment of any staff or volunteers and for making sure it complies with the law.

If you are enthusiastic and have good life skills then being a trustee could be for you.  Professional skills such as managerial, legal or financial are always useful but not essential and lifestyle skills are just as important.
